Some great information about all of the shoes you reviewed, thank you. Having already purchased the Hoka Speed Goat 5's one thing I would say is that the soles on them do wear out quickly. Within 3 months of light training and a ParkRun every week all the grippy lugs on the heels were gone, leaving them very slippery in the mud. At 160.00 pounds a pair to replace frequently, that could get an expensive year of running.

done 2 ups and 1 down and the down destroyed me. My quads were finished. Much prefer the up. Did you not have cup a soup at the finish...that is the bomb! as for the cokes...after years of running in SA you get used to the coke/water mix. Gives you a real boost. you don't get any coke in water tables in europe though, so have had to adjust

It was my first comrade marathon and done it in 11:54.I want to go again next year.

Another great video, Kieran. I've watched all your Comrades videos and was hoping I'd bump into you this time. I saw that I was just in front of you at the start, but I was chasing a sub-7 hour finish for my 7th Comrades, so maybe that's why I didn't get a chance to see you. Hopefully, we will see you complete another one of these races sometime in the future!

I spent a good chunk of time on my back after finishing my race too. The nausea took hold while queuing to get over one of the scaffold bridges after the crossing the line.

You definitely coming back. That thing is addictive! Im 4 medals in and i keep saying im not gonna do it again after i completed each one of those 4 races. Great video 👌🏾

Great job. I really love your enthusiasm. I saw your 2023 video on Saturday evening, before this year's up run. It was surreal chatting to you at Phezulu, when you asked me which hill this was. You're going back!

Walked passed you at the end, but wasn't sure, so didn't say anything! I am one of those you mention at the start of this video. My grandfather signed of his number(161) to me before he passed and I have now completed 3 runs, with the aim to make this number green again to hopefully one day pass on to one of my kids.

Amazing to meet you and well done on an amazing run. Hope to see you back in 2027 for Comrades.
